i just read an interesting article on the top 10 cities in the US. my beloved and missed Austin made #8. LA was a no show. shocking. now, i'm not sure exactly how they determine these things, but based on what i do know about the cities listed, there isn't much to argue. texas had 3 cities make the top 10. colorado, my childhood (and maybe staff) second home, had 2. california? zero. sorry to all you california lovers out there. oh, there are nice places in this state, they are just ridiculously overpriced.
